There are a few advantages to using a fixed I/O device with your PLC.
Fixed units are often smaller and are therefore more conducive to small classroom environments.
These units are also less expensive per unit than their modular counterparts.
Fixed units are well suited to preforming basic functions, which makes them an economical choice for level 1 classrooms and arenas where only basic functions are required.
