PLC Chassis Installation Considerations

When installing the PLC chassis, there are a few things that you must consider:

Environment:

This refers to the area in which you are installing the chassis. How much room do you have?

Are there movement concerns? Are there any humidity or other quality issues?

Electrical Noise:

This refers to random and unwanted electrical signals.

These are often caused by radio waves or electric or magnetic fields that are generated by one conductor but picked up by another.

Shielding:

This refers to a barrier, often made of a conductive material, which reduces the effect of electric and/or magnetic fields.

Grounding:

This refers to a conducting connection between an electric circuit or chassis and the earth.
